Foster product obsession to build strong brand loyalty and keep customers excited and engaged.

Strategy
Activate blended nostalgia and interactivity to create a memorable experience for guests. The strategy aimed to immerse attendees in an environment that felt both playful and engaging while showcasing amika’s products. This interactive approach captured guests ’attention and drove excitement around the brand.
This multi-phase approach created a seamless journey that not only encouraged immediate product interaction but also promoted lasting brand loyalty.
Production
The production team focused on optimizing the flow of guests through each phase. Designers worked closely with the team to arrange assets, from the Call Center to the boba station and styling area, ensuring a seamless path from one experience to the next. This phase was essential for refining concepts, making sure each element aligned with the brand’s vision while maximizing guest engagement.

Activation
A complete transformation of a blank white studio space in NYC, Amika x Activate created the ultimate Perk-Up Salon.
Reception
First stop, check in. Consumers would sign in with brand ambassadors at reception for their Perk Up salon appointment.
Call Center
Pick up the phone and consult your Hairapist. Station featured five classic rotary phones and LED switch board where consumers could consult with a real person about their hair needs.
Waiting Lounge
Completing the monochromatic experience, curved orange couches and orange acrylic tables built out this Pre-Perk Up waiting area for guest to relax before their appointment.
Salon Stations
Guests would receive a styling of their choosing from top Amika stylist in this Perk Up Station featuring perk up products and LED accents.
Boba Bar
Within the Pre-Perk Up station, color-coordinated boba flavors were offered to consumers to enjoy while they waited.
Branded Phone Booth
Custom vignette within the space created a photo moment for consumers before or after their hair appointment to pose within.
Studio Vignette
Complete with vintage props and product displays, a glamour shot experience was built within the back of the footprint for guests to show off their fresh styles.
Custom Newspapers
The Amika Perk Up Press newspapers were scattered throughout the waiting area for consumers to learn more about the Perk Up product line and Amika.
